Building a Cheeseboard

Building a Cheeseboard

Embarking on the journey of hosting a memorable gathering, picture this: the clink of glasses, laughter echoing through the room, and the pièce de résistance – a beautiful cheeseboard that  steals the spotlight.

Whether it's a laid-back get-together with friends or revelling in a special occasion, crafting a cheeseboard is an art that will create an unforgettable experience.

In this blog, we'll take you through the steps to create the ultimate cheeseboard.

  1. Choose Your Cheeseboard

Selecting the canvas for your masterpiece will set the scene for your piece of art. Opt for a wooden board or a slate surface, matching the size to your ingredients and audience size.

  2. Start with the large items: Cheeses and Bowls

Lay down your cheeses such as Brie, Cheddar and Blue cheese, and add your bowls. Choose your bowls carefully with the the size proportionate to the board and the amount of dips to hold.

  3. Meats, Bread and Crackers

Begin to introduce meats, bread, and crackers. Try a prosciutto flower or a rounded spread of crackers.

  4. Fill in the Gaps

Now, for the details. Populate the gaps with bursts of sweetness – like grapes and strawberries - and sprinkle nuts into the small crevices. High quality chocolate pieces are bound to be a fan favourite.

  5. The best bit... wine!

As the final pieces fall into place, reward yourself. Pour a glass of your favourite wine and take a moment to savour the masterpiece you've crafted.

A well-curated cheeseboard isn't just a centrepiece; it's an invitation to indulge in a journey. So, as you embark on creating your cheeseboard, be sure to add your unique flair, allowing the flavours, textures, and presentation to resonate with the your occasion.
